Welcome to the College of Nursing at the College of Dentistry, New York University!

Dear Friends,

The class of 2011 is officially here and it is with great pride that we welcome more than 1,100 students, each with a unique and important contribution to make to the College of Nursing and to the profession. Their passionate curiosity is inspiring, and the diversity of backgrounds and interests bodes well for nursing's future! With more than 900 applications for 200 spaces, our students hail from 27 states and 31 countries.

I am also delighted that our faculty-recruitment efforts have been extremely successful. Our faculty size has nearly doubled, now at 50 full-time and 87 part-time members. These professionals are of the highest caliber, with a depth and breadth of experience that will serve our students and our profession well.

The partnership with New York University Medical Center and other premier urban health care facilities provide us with a rich variety of outstanding clinical experiences, and indeed a global laboratory in which to understand the professional experience that is nursing.
