RN to BS
The RN to BS program is a personalized program. Students will work closely with their assigned academic advisor to determine a course progression that works best. Inclusive of transfer credit and credit completed in residence at NYU, RN to BS students must complete a total of 128 credits to earn the BS degree.
Incoming RN to BS students should reference the Pre-Nursing Checklist for important information on next steps following your acceptance.
Students can enroll in course offerings through the College of Arts and Science and the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) to meet the liberal arts requirements for the BS degree. SPS offerings can be completed online or once a week during evening hours. This allows RN students the flexibility to design a class schedule that does not conflict with work schedules.
Please note that the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing operates on a different academic calendar than the University. Students taking nursing sequence courses (NURSE-UN XXX) should reference the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing academic calendar.
