The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is pleased to announce the Claire and Samuel Fagin Scholarship. These funds were generously donated by Claire Fagin, PhD, RN, FAAN and her husband Samuel Fagin. Dr. Fagin is a nurse, educator, and academic who received her PhD in Nursing from NYU. Dr. Fagin has extensive and progressive experience in nursing, and in healthcare and educational administration. This scholarship is designed to support top academic achievers in the NYU Meyers MS programs who have a specific interest in psychiatric mental health. Awards cannot be deferred or renewed and are based on financial need and merit.
Eligibility and Submission Requirements
- Applicant must be a student in the MS Mental Health Nursing program
- Applicant must submit NYU unofficial transcripts. Applicants can be new to NYU but in order to be considered all new applicants must provide a transcript representing cumulative GPA at prior college or university.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Applicant must submit a brief personal statement (500 words or less) on, your commitment to the nursing profession and a demonstrated interest in psychiatric mental health
