Genevieve Antonette Guillaume is a PhD student at Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She graduated with her BSN from the York University in Ontario Canada and was also the recipient of the York University Praxis Leadership Award. As a registered nurse, Genevieve was a clinical preceptor at the Ontario Health Force Nursing Graduate Guarantee program where she ensured new registered nurses, including new international nurses, received tailored supported in their transition for clinical nursing. Her area of research focuses on investigating multi-level racial health disparities that impact black identified individuals in regard to HIV transmission and decision support from healthcare providers with about Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Genevieve is in the final phases of completing her first author manuscript about the barriers and facilitators to providing HIV Pre-exposure Prophylaxis decision support to Black-identified patients in Canada.
