This study seeks to adapt the NICHE model to international contexts as a model to address the growing demand for high quality geriatric care and services. Partners from Canada and Bermuda provide ongoing feedback for how to adapt the model to English-speaking, non-US settings. In Singapore, the implementation site is evaluating how to adapt the model to the Singaporean context which has a multicultural staff from 12 countries with minimal education in geriatrics and no tradition of nurses leading quality improvement. Finally, Mexico serves as a site that informs the adaptation of the model to the middle income country context where social service and health system infrastructure was not designed to address the needs of an aging population.
