Professor Levin held varied full-time positions at Pace University, Lienhard School of Nursing (LSN) from 2001 through 2011. From 2003 until 2006 she was Project Director of the Joan M. Stout, RN Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Initiative, and created shared appointments with two clinical agencies for the purpose of integrating EBP into the nursing services. She also served as chair of Graduate Studies in the LSN and visiting faculty at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York. Dr. Levin is also Professor Emeritus of Felician College, where she served as Director, Division of Nursing and then Director, Division of Health Sciences and Professor for 12 years (1988-1999). Prior to her career at Felician College, Dr. Levin held several positions at Adelphi University; including director of the master’s in nursing program and a dual appointment in Nursing Research in collaboration with Long Island Jewish-Hillside Medical Center. Professor Levin served as Chair of the Foundation of New York State Nurses Center for Nursing Research and Planning Committee for several years and remains an active member of the Foundation. Professor Levin began her nursing career in 1965 as Staff Nurse at the LI Jewish-Hillside Medical Center. In 2006 her book, Teaching Evidence-Based Practice in Nursing, co-authored with Harriet Feldman, won an AJN Book of the Year Award. In 2008 she received the Jesse M. Scott award for exemplary integration of research, education and practice by the American Nurses’ Association.
