Dr. Thomas has an extensive experience in management of acute and chronic diseases, and excellent track record in strategic planning with comprehensive knowledge of practice building and management, organizational development, team building, and program implementation. Founding member and lead practitioner for first nationally known independent Nurse Practitioner practice serving commercially insured and obtained and maintained hospital admitting privileges at New York Presbyterian Hospital. She currently leads the practice initiatives at New York University College of Nursing, including nurse-managed primary care practice for adults and a mobile health van serving high school students in New York City boroughs. Dr. Thomas’s academic achievements include Doctorate of Nursing Practice, Masters of Science in Nursing, and teaching responsibilities in the graduate programs at Columbia University School of Nursing. Presently completing a Cornell Weill Medical College research fellowship in Clinical Epidemiology Health Disparities Tract.
