The Impact of Hospice Preferred Practices on Patient Outcomes and Hospice Costs

Funding source
National Institute of Nursing Research, National Institutes of Health
Project Period

This project will identify practices associated with patient and family experiences at the end of life in the hospice setting. Hospice is an interdisciplinary approach to caring for patients and families and is used by more than forty percent of decedents in the U.S. annually; yet hospice practices that influence patient outcomes and hospice costs are not well-known.
