April 10, 2026

NYU Meyers’ master’s programs remain in the top 10 nationwide, rising two spots to #7, according to the 2026 U.S. News & World Reports Best Nursing Schools rankings.
The College’s midwifery graduate program, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, shot up in the rankings to #14, an increase of 12 spots compared to 2025.
At doctoral level, NYU Meyers ranked #25 overall for DNP programs. Both the master’s and doctoral rankings are the highest ranking among nursing schools in New York state.
The rankings, released this week, assessed schools’ overall master's programs, Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs and specialty graduate programs on their research activity, faculty resources, and student excellence. The rankings also include the results of surveys of nursing school deans and healthcare professionals.
“These achievements reflect the dedication of our faculty, staff, students, and partners who do the work every day in our classrooms, clinical sites and research labs,” said Dean Angela F. Amar. “As we celebrate this achievement, we also know that no ranking can fully capture who we are. Our strength cannot be reduced to a number—it lives in our commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassion in nursing education.”
Deadline for Spring 2026 Graduate Admission is June 15, 2026.
