NYU Meyers is ranked in the top 10 nationally for all master’s programs and two specialty graduate programs according to the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools report.

The rankings, released earlier this month, assessed master's programs and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs on their research activity, faculty resources, and student excellence. The rankings also include the results of surveys of nursing school deans and healthcare professionals.

NYU Meyers’ overall master’s degree ranking remains the highest among nursing schools in New York State, as it did in 2024. In addition, several master’s specialty programs earned top recognition: Meyers came in at #6 for DNP Gerontology Primary Care Programs, and #5 for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) Programs, up from two spots from last year.

At doctoral level, NYU Meyers ranked #22 overall – also the highest ranking among nursing schools in New York state.

“These rankings reflect our commitment to providing students with the opportunities, skills, and experience to become excellent caregivers, world-class scientists and inspired changemakers,” said Dean Angela F. Amar. “Every member of the Meyers community believes deeply in our mission to prepare nurses who improve lives, and transform communities.”
