ACCESS II at a Glance
Adherence Connection for Counseling, Education, and Support (ACCESS) II study is a randomized clinical trial, comparing two interventions designed to help adolescents and young adults (AYA) living with HIV (HIV+) to manage their antiretroviral treatment (ART) adherence. Study participants are randomly assigned to work with a peer health coach or interact with a web-based educational platform.
The ACCESS II study is entirely remote, with all study activities completed using a study funded Smartphone.
Members of the ACCESS II research team aim to provide HIV+ AYA with a better understanding of their health and health goals, along with the tools necessary to advocate for themselves and their healthcare. We bridge the gap between healthcare facilities and communities, allowing for sustained support and improved health outcomes!
