Through advocacy and the provision of services, Housing Work has the mission of ending the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS. Housing Works provides a range of services including housing, healthcare, meals and nutritional counseling, mental health and substance use treatment, job training, and legal assistance.

The NYC Health Department offers two federally funded housing programs to meet the needs of low-income people living with HIV/AIDS and their families. HIV/AIDS Service Administration (HASA)

HASA assists individuals living with HIV/AIDS by connecting people to individualized service plans with benefits and support that are specific to their medical needs. HASA services include intensive case management and assistance in applying for public benefits and services, including Medicaid, housing, mental health, employment, and transportation assistance.

Uninsured Care Programs

The Uninsured Care Programs provide access to free health care for New York State residents who are uninsured/underinsured. The Uninsured Care Programs are committed to working with providers and individuals to support access to payment for health care services and medications for persons living with or at risk of acquiring HIV/AIDS.
