Danielle Scharp, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC is an Assistant Professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Her program of research focuses on improving care and outcomes for older women with urinary incontinence using informatics, quantitative methods, and intervention co-design methods. Her current work centers on examining relationships between life stressors, stress, anxiety, and urinary incontinence to inform interventions that target stress and anxiety in urinary incontinence care.
Prior to joining the faculty at NYU Meyers, Scharp completed a National Institute on Aging- funded T32 fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a National Institute of Nursing Research-funded T32 predoctoral training program at Columbia University School of Nursing. She also worked as a family nurse practitioner in primary care and a registered nurse in medical-surgical, stepdown, and long-term care settings.
