Our research team provides extensive support to investigators across the college related to grant submission and management through the Meyers Office of Sponsored Research, which oversees all efforts related to grant submissions, including:
- Budget development,
- Review of sponsor agency guidelines and policies,
- Just-in-time submission, IRB requirements
- Negotiating with internal/external collaborating entities,
- Contracts/Data Use Agreements.
For more information about grant and funding application support, please contact nursing.preaward@nyu.edu
The Grant Initiation Form (GIF) is recommended to be submitted at least two months prior to the sponsor’s deadline and helps the office manage specific and overall grant submissions.
The goal of the Office of Sponsored Research is to streamline all procedures to facilitate an efficient and successful experience for all researchers and research staff. All proposals are reviewed to ensure that:
- The interests of faculty members and students are protected
- The NYU’s institutional interests are protected
- Applications are consistent with Meyers/NYU’s policies and mission statement
- Compliance is consistent with all applicable state and federal laws.
The policy and timeline on Grant Submissions set forth the responsibilities of the Rory Meyers College of Nursing Grants Office in reviewing, approving, and submitting (with the Office of Sponsored Programs) grant applications on behalf of New York University, and identify submission timelines to ensure that these responsibilities are met.
