Lisa Groom works at the intersection of healthcare and technology to improve patient outcomes. Her broad range of experience includes roles as a clinical product manager, health technology consultant, senior clinical analyst, registered nurse, clinical applications trainer, and pharmacy tech. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She later acquired a Bachelor of Health Informatics from the University of Washington in Seattle. She gained her Master’s in nursing informatics at New York University.
She was a member of the NYU Holodeck, a NSF MRI Track 2 development project using AR, MR, VR, sensors, and robotics to create a networked collaboration tool to invent new technologies for patient care. She participated in the development of a smart dresser to assist persons with dementia to don apparel. Lisa continues her studies as a PhD student focusing on remote patient monitoring and health technology. She also recently joined Aliviado as a student member.
In her current professional work as a clinical product manager, she leads projects in the development of remote patient monitoring applications and necessary device integrations. She is also involved with artificial intelligence and clinical decision support projects.
