Ruotong Mona Liu, PhD, is a Postdoctoral Associate at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. Her research focuses on aging, with an emphasis on oral health, multimorbidity, and cognitive decline. Drawing on her interdisciplinary training in social work, public policy, and gerontology, she uses longitudinal methods and community-based approaches to inform equitable care for older adults and caregivers. Currently, she is involved in a National Institute on Aging-funded R01 project investigating the links between oral health and dementia subtypes.

Liu earned her PhD in Social Work and Master of Public Policy from the University of Southern California. She completed postdoctoral training as a research fellow at Oregon Health & Science University, Department of Family Medicine before joining NYU Meyers. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws in Sociology and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Peking University.
