The National HIV Strategy has a goal of ending the epidemic in the U.S. by 2030. Join us to learn the current state of HIV treatment and prevention and the role of nurses in the delivery of care. Additionally,  challenges facing the growing population of persons aging with HIV will be discussed.

Jeffrey Kwong, DNP, MPH, MS '15, AGPCNP-BC, FAANP, FAAN is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and Professor in the Division of Advanced Nursing Practice at Rutgers University. His work in the field of HIV treatment and prevention spans more than 25 years. In addition to his academic work, he is the Co-Medical Director of the HIV and Aging Initiative for the American Academy of HIV Medicine, Co-Director of the HIV/Infectious Disease Specialty Group of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and serves as a member of Mt Sinai's HIV Project ECHO core faculty. Prof. Kwong is a fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the American Academy of Nursing.
