Behavioral Sciences Training in Drug Abuse Research

BTS logoThis fellowship program supports behavioral scientists from all disciplines interested in learning about and developing careers in research on drug use and misuse.

Funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the BST program provides fellowships and intensive training to 16 fellows (nine predocs and seven postdocs) each year from various behavioral disciplines, including public health, social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology, as well as nursing.

BST training involves:

  • Weekly seminars and workshops all day on Mondays
  • Mentorship on NIDA grants
  • Fellows conducting their own research projects
  • Writing grants for funding
