Andrew D. Jopson, PhD, MPH, is a post-doctoral associate at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing under the mentorship of Dr. Jasmine Travers Altizer. He leads and supports the implementation of a NIH-funded R01 evaluating the effects of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) on nursing home staffing patterns and outcomes among residents living with dementia. His research broadly aims to develop and evaluate policies that improve care experiences for older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers.

Prior to joining NYU Meyers, he received his PhD in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins University and MPH from the University of Washington. While pursuing his doctorate, he was supported and received additional training through a T32 Health Services and Outcomes Research for Aging Populations. He previously worked as a research scientist in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Washington where he focused on health workforce issues and the development of health career pathways.
