Wendy Savarese MSN, RN, NEA-BC is a 4th year PhD student at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She received her BS in Nursing from Curry College, Milton, MA and she received her MSN in Nursing Management, Policy, and Leadership from Yale University, New Haven, CT. She spent over 15 years in clinical practice as an ICU nurse, and 5 years in nursing leadership as a Nurse Manager and a Nurse Director of critical care. She is currently an Adjunct Clinical Professor and has taught undergraduate nursing students in medical-surgical clinical settings. She is pursuing a career as a nurse scientist. Her current research interest focuses on Urban Hispanic adults living with type 2 diabetes.
