Dean’s Global Health Lecture Series: How the Fulbright and Erasmus+ Programs Improve Global Cooperation Through Mutual Experiences
Cooperation between universities in different countries facilitates global understanding and advances nursing in multiple spheres - education, practice, research, and policy. During this lecture, Dr. Jamesetta and Dr. Blaževičienė will discuss how NYU Meyers and the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences have partnered to bring advanced nursing practice to Lithuania through the development of a graduate curriculum, to introduce the advanced nursing practice (ANP) role of the nurse practitioner, to collaborate on research studies and publications, and to recommend policy changes for the nursing scope of practice for ANP. To date, there have been faculty exchanges from each university through Fulbright programs and the Erasmus+ faculty mobility program, which is part of the European Union's mission to support education and training. Attendees will also hear about this journey, and future plans and opportunities.
