Project Period
New Americans are those who choose to come and live and work in the United States, representing a growing part of the population who experience the social determinants of health in unique ways associated with how and why they came to live in the US. The proposed research education program will prepare up to 30 emerging nurse researchers over a 3-year period with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to conduct research on the social determinants of health with new American populations and produce materials for wider use across health professions education and research training programs. It will also lay the foundation for a national network of researchers in nursing working on the topic.
