Project Period
Palliative Care helps people across the lifespan with serious illnesses and their caregivers to achieve the best possible quality of life. We need to continue to improve the ability of palliative care to relieve suffering and promote quality of life, and to do this, we need more and better palliative care research. This project will create the Advancing the Science of Palliative Care Research Across the Lifespan (ASCENT) Consortium, a national consortium of experts in palliative care that will provide resources, expertise, and coordination to advance innovative, high-quality research to improve palliative care, ultimately improving quality of life for those living with serious illness and those who care for them.
