Student Guide

How to browse clinical bundles and make your selection.

Before You Begin

Who can use this tool? The tool is available to students in the sequences listed under your current term. You will only see clinical bundles that match your assigned sequence. If you cannot access the tool or see no bundles, contact the Office of Undergraduate Programs at nursing.undergraduate@nyu.edu.
Tool opens The Office of Undergraduate Programs opens the tool for your sequence on the date provided in your announcement email.
Browse and reserve You have 15 minutes from the moment you click Reserve to review and confirm your selection.
Confirm your selection Once confirmed, your preference is recorded. Your final clinical placement is determined by the Office of Undergraduate Programs based on all submitted preferences.

Selecting Your Clinical Bundle

Open the Clinical Preference Tool

Visit the Clinical Preferences page on the nursing portal. Log in with your NYU credentials if prompted.

Browse available bundles

Click any bundle card to expand it and see full course and schedule details. Use Expand all to open all bundles at once. The number shown (e.g. 0/10) is the current enrollment count out of total capacity.

Each course in a bundle shows its schedule using these labels:

CLI Clinical
SIM Simulation
LEC Lecture

Use filters to narrow your options

Click Filters to open the filter panel.

  • Day of Week Select the days you prefer for clinical or simulation.
  • Class Time Drag the slider to set your preferred time range.
  • Location Check or uncheck specific clinical sites.
  • Address + Distance Enter a zip code or address and choose a radius to find bundles near you.
  • Exclude Full Bundles Hide bundles that have no spots remaining.

All filters work together — a bundle must match every active filter to appear. Use Clear all to reset.

Click Reserve on your preferred bundle

This places a 15-minute hold on the bundle. The timer appears in the top right corner. Your spot is not confirmed yet, but other students cannot claim it while your hold is active. Review the full schedule details on this page before confirming.

Click Confirm Selection

Your preference is submitted and you will receive a confirmation email. The confirmed view shows your selected bundle details and a Change my selection button if you need to update your choice later.

Hold timer: If the 15-minute timer expires before you confirm, your hold is released and you will need to reserve the bundle again (if it is still available).

Changing Your Selection

You can change your selection at any time while the tool is open — as long as there is space in another bundle.

Click "Change my selection"

This returns you to the bundle list. Your current confirmed bundle is marked so you can see it.

Browse, reserve, and confirm a different bundle

Find the bundle you prefer, click Reserve, review the details, then click Confirm Selection. Your previous selection will be replaced automatically.


Frequently Asked Questions

Your sequence may not be open yet, or no bundles have been assigned to your sequence for this term. If the page shows a "not available" message, your sequence has not been opened. Contact the Office of Undergraduate Programs at nursing.undergraduate@nyu.edu.

You are returned to the bundle list automatically. If the bundle still has spots available, you can reserve it again. If someone else confirmed it in the meantime, you will need to choose a different bundle.

You will not be able to reserve a full bundle. Use the Exclude Full Bundles filter to hide full bundles and see only those with available spots. If you have concerns about your available options, contact the Office of Undergraduate Programs at nursing.undergraduate@nyu.edu.

If your session expires while the page is open, you may see a "Your session has expired" message. Refresh your browser and log in again. Any confirmed selection you had is safe — session expiry does not affect saved data.

Check your spam or junk folder. Emails are sent to your NYU address. If you still cannot find it, log back into the tool — your confirmed bundle will be shown on the main page if the selection was recorded. If you see your bundle but have no email, contact nursing.undergraduate@nyu.edu.

Try refreshing the page. If the issue continues, try a different browser or clear your browser cache. If it persists, contact nursing.undergraduate@nyu.edu.
