Online via Zoom

Join us for a personal and professional one-of-a-kind interview with former Army Nurse Joan Furey MA '76 and Steinhardt Prof. Beth Norman. If you are curious about learning firsthand how PTSD impacts healthcare workers in combat zones, how the Department of Veterans Affairs pioneered their PTSD program, or about the needs of healthcare workers during COVID-19, then please join us!

Prof. Norman will interview Joan, who will share her experiences as an Army Nurse on the battlefields of Vietnam, and how she worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs to improve VA services to Vietnam Veterans with PTSD and health care services to women veterans. Learn how our knowledge of PTSD on healthcare workers serving in combat situations can inform the way we treat trauma in healthcare workers who serve in the battle against COVID-19.

A Zoom link will be emailed to those who register.
