Conceptual Approaches to Health Equity

Rationale: This foundational course now covers more than just disparities. It addresses all the related concepts, including disparities, health (in)equity, health care (in)equity, the social determinants of health, and social care. "Health Equity" reflects this broad umbrella. Importantly, no other school in the university offers a course like this at the PhD level and there could be some appeal for masters candidates in public health, steinhardt, and wagner. A name change will not only reflect actual course content but be more marketable across
the university.
