Estelle Massey Osborne was an extraordinary individual who broke down countless barriers in nursing education and practice over her extraordinary career, which included eight years as a respected faculty member at what is now NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing. This scholarship is to commemorate Estelle Osborne's lasting contributions in teaching, public health, administration, research, and community service and will continue her lifelong work of opening doors by educating underrepresented communities and developing future nurse leaders.
This scholarship is aimed at high-achieving undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in careers in nursing. Applicants must compose an essay of two pages long, double spaced, 12 font, stating how one identifies and compares themselves to the life of Estelle Massey Osborne. Applicants must provide proof of community service.
