The McClure Scholarship

Level of study: Baccalaureate

This is a nomination-based scholarship, no application is available. 
Established by Margaret L. McClure, former vice president of nursing at NYU Medical Center, in honor of her mother Lois Jean Doane McClure and her sister Carol Jean McClure Mabry. The McClure Scholarship is awarded annually to a currently enrolled traditional four-year undergraduate NYU Meyers nursing student who exemplifies a strong commitment to advancing professional nursing and patient care.

The McClure Scholarship is only available to currently enrolled junior and senior undergraduate nursing students in the traditional four-year program. Prospective applicants cannot be considered for this scholarship. Award amounts vary each year. One recipient is selected each academic year. The scholarship is awarded in the spring semester.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Students must be nominated by a College of Nursing faculty, professor or advisor, and are chosen for their superior academic achievement in the nursing program.
  2. Students must be juniors or seniors in the traditional four-year undergraduate nursing program.
  3. Students must have a 3.5 GPA or higher
