William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship Fund for Geriatric Nurse Practitioners

Awarded: Fall, Spring, and Summer

The William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship Fund for Geriatric Nurse Practitioners will award scholarships to part-time and full-time Master's students enrolled in the Adult Primary Care and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Programs who are interested in geriatric nursing.  5-8 scholarships should be awarded per year, $2,500 for part-time and $5,000 for full-time students.  Hearst scholars should also be supported financially with traineeships and as teachers of undergraduates at NYU. The awards must be used for tuition and awards cannot be deferred. 

 

Eligibility and Submission Requirements

  1. Have a valid FAFSA on file during the academic year.
  2. International students are not eligible.
  3. Applicant must be in their second year at NYU Meyers as a matriculated student in the APC-NP or AAC-NP program.
  4. Applicant must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  5. Applicant should choose a specialization in aging. Preference for students who intend to permanently reside in the United States after completion of their studies.
  6. If awarded, agree to fill out a World of Thanks profile to thank their scholarship donors.
