Amy graduated with a BS in environmental science from the University of Miami in 2004, a BSN via the Accelerated Career Entry (ACE) program at Drexel University in 2007, and became a family nurse practitioner in 2014 after completing the MN program at Montana State University. She has practiced as an RN in Philadelphia, Seattle, and New York, mostly caring for patients after thoracic or head & neck surgery. Her FNP clinical training took place in Montana and she practiced as a primary care provider in rural south central Pennsylvania. Amy’s PhD work at NYU Meyers focuses on health disparities among LGBTQ youth, specifically the role that families can play as social support for transgender and gender diverse (TGD) children. She is also adjunct faculty in the Meyers Clinical Simulation Learning Center.
