Mengyao Hu is a second year PhD student in Rory Meyers College of Nursing. She graduated from Capital Medical University in Beijing, China with her BSN in nursing in 2017. During her last year internship in the hospital before graduation, she found herself interested in geriatric care research when facing a rapidly growing number of elderly patients. Therefore, she decided to go to NYU to pursue a doctoral degree and become a researcher in the future. Her current interest focuses on caregiver support for caregivers who take care of dementia patients in their families. Sharing the same background as a dementia caregiver herself, she wants to conduct research to promote health for both caregivers and their dementia family members.
