Moroni Fernandez Cajavilca

Moroni Fernandez Cajavilca is a 2nd year PhD student at New York University College of Nursing and is affiliated with the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing. He completed his BS in Nursing and MS in Gerontology with a Certificate in Nursing Education at the University of Utah. His program of research is focused on promoting equitable healthcare access for underserved racial and ethnic older immigrants and their family caregivers who are non-native English speakers. He aims to change policies that support an English-dominated healthcare system and to advance an age-sensitive, culturally competent healthcare system.
