The Geriatric Student Interest Group is a student organization interested in caring for older adults. Due to demographic needs, geriatric knowledge is in high demand, and nurses in the field have strong opportunities for impact and leadership. Inspiring and engaging nurses at the undergraduate level is GSIG’s primary goal. GSIG aims to actively inform and engage all NYU student nurses in geriatric issues, no matter their interest, by collaborating with other student interest groups and exploring shared ground between fields. Community service, roundtable discussions, and clinical education with older adults is our goal.
If you would like to join GSIG, please email the Co-Presidents:
- Sarah Yee, swy8133@nyu.edu
- James Bauer, jab9873@nyu.edu
Membership in all student organizations at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is open to all NYU Meyers students.
