Project Period
This study is significant because it strengthens the foundation for collecting person-centered Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD) focused outcomes in an understudied but increasingly relied upon sector of long-term care. This proposal aligns with the National Plan to Address ADRD’s goal of optimizing care quality and efficiency for persons with ADRD. Strengthening data collection with relevant patient-centered outcomes in Adult Day Services (ADS) will improve transparency and inform state and national policies that elevate the standard of community-based long-term care for the rapidly growing and diversifying population of persons with ADRD.
