You're not alone! Now is a great time to start planning and to please consider including NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing in your will. Contact Karen for suggested bequest language and NYU's tax ID for you to share with your attorney.
There are two kinds of scholarship funding: endowed and expendable. Both kinds of scholarship funding are extremely important.
- With an endowed scholarship fund, approximately 5% of the annual market value is awarded annually for scholarships. Endowed funding is very important for NYU Meyers' long-term financial stability and will be used for scholarships for generations of NYU Meyers students. A gift of $100,000 is required to endow a scholarship.
- Expendable scholarship funding is spent right away, which is very helpful to our financially needy students.
