In 2010, Samar graduated with a BS in Nursing from King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia. In 2018, she became a pediatric nurse practitioner after she graduated from the MS program at NYU Meyers College of Nursing. She worked as a lecturer in pediatric nursing in KAU, teaching different courses related to children and adolescent’s health, precepting students in their pediatric clinical rotations and supervising research for undergraduate nursing students. Her research focuses on gender inequality as a social determinant of health among female adolescents, especially in relation to the prevention and treatment of STIs. She wants to explore the different ways in which it affects accessibility, acceptability, treatment and prevention of STIs for females’ adolescents in different populations.
