J. Paul Scholarship

Level of study: Accelerated Baccalaureate

Awarded: Fall 2026 and Spring 2027

The NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is pleased to announce the J Paul Scholarship for a baccalaureate student in the accelerated program who is entering their third sequence in Fall 2026. This scholarship will provide a $10,000 award ($5,000 each in the third and fourth sequence semesters) to a nursing student committed to a career of community based or long-term care of older adults.

The J Paul Scholar will participate in an internship of 40 hours each semester with an HIGN at NYU Meyers team member. Together they will set goals and plan activities focused on HIGN’s mission. 

Eligibility and Submission Requirements

  1. Applicants must be enrolled full-time as a continuing accelerated baccalaureate student entering sequence three in summer 2026.
  2. Have a FAFSA on file for the current academic year.
  3. Submit a current resume and an unofficial Rory Meyers transcript in pdf format.
  4. Be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  5. Be aware that students receiving tuition remission from NYU or NYU Langone are not eligible to receive Rory Meyers scholarships. Students receiving tuition remission from other employers may not receive awards above the total cost of their tuition for the term.
  6. Be aware that international students are not eligible to receive Rory Meyers scholarships.
  7. Understand that awards cannot be deferred and are not renewable.
  8. If awarded, agree to fill out a World of Thanks profile to thank their scholarship donor(s).
