Nurse Anesthetist and Practitioner Student Interest Group (NAPSIG)

The purpose of the Nurse Anesthetist and Practitioner Student Interest Group (NAPSIG) is to educate undergraduate and graduate nursing students through the exploration of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) roles of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and Nurse Practitioner (NP). By providing the opportunity to network with professionals in the CRNA and NP roles in a more relaxed, informal setting, NAPSIG will offer students the space and environment to ask questions that may not be feasible during clinical days. Moreover, NAPSIG aims to spread awareness of these roles and to further inform students’ decisions, especially those in the third sequence looking to apply to dual-degree programs. Our mission is to provide community and educational enrichment as well as offer opportunities for professional development, strategic networking, and leadership growth within the student interest group itself.

If you would like to join NAPSIG, please email nyunapsig@gmail.com.

Membership in all student organizations at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing is open to all NYU Meyers students.
