Project Period
Despite the potential for research to inform dementia care financing, delivery, and oversight, dementia care research is currently limited by a lack of dementia common data elements (CDEs) even in LTC settings where dementia is prevalent. Addressing this gap, a multidisciplinary Stakeholder Advisory Panel convened under the Health Care Systems Research Network-Older Americans Independence Centers AGING Initiative, recommended “the creation of a common data structure… including common data elements” to improve the capability of the clinical research enterprise in LTC settings (Gurwitz et al., 2022). This award will help create such a data structure.
