Project Period

The proposed research aims to contribute to filling the gaps in our understanding of how patients and informal caregivers manage their lives with the Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD). The study aims to identify experienced barriers and facilitators, including the role of social determinants of health, in managing life with an LVAD. This study will serve as a foundation in developing clinical interventions to better support patients and caregivers in achieving improved clinical outcomes with the LVAD treatment modality.
