Collaboratives: HSR

Health Services Research (HSR)

The Health Services Research Collaboratives and Cores (HSR) advance the science of healthcare delivery and the nursing workforce.  Advancing Healthcare delivery through research, our faculty investigates the intersection of healthcare systems and the nursing workforce, and how systems, policies, and workforce structures drive quality, safety, and equity in care—from local health systems to global initiatives.

Health Services Research Collaboratives and Cores (HSR)

HSR Core Areas of Work

Faculty lead studies evaluating major health system initiatives, examining workforce dynamics, and addressing chronic disease prevention and management across diverse populations. Others are testing technology-enabled approaches—including mobile health, electronic health record–based tools, and AI-driven applications—to strengthen care delivery and reduce inequities. Global collaborations expand this work by addressing the needs of immigrant populations and building nursing and midwifery workforce capacity worldwide. Collectively, the Collaborative generates evidence to inform practice, policy, and innovation in health services, with nursing science at its core.
